To me, a good photograph captures spirit and movement, whether it's of a person, a building, or a cornfield. It's more than a "picture of something," but a moment in life.

That said, you won't find me asking my subjects to sit tall, cross your hands in your lap and tilt your head to the left. I believe a photo session is interactive, so my goal is to uncover your personality and get you to react to me, because those reactions are what I'm going to capture.

As a photographer, I run into so many people with self-image problems. But here's the deal: If I'm photographing you, I think you're beautiful. It's that simple. And let's leave our hang-ups at the door.

I am open to discussing most any project so feel free to contact me. I am always looking for models for fine art, and if you're willing to participate in an art project I will often shoot the other photos you want for no fee.

A note about nudes: I shoot the male nude form because it irritates me that thousands of years after the Greeks were carving nude statues of Apollo and Poseidon, today a male figure study is often dismissed as pornography. I believe that the human body is beautiful and I'd like to play a part in changing that stereotype.Also note that I don't ask or expect everyone who poses for me to get naked. I realize that it's not for everybody, and to assume that's the only reason I am contacting you is judgmental and a bit offensive. This is not my sole motivation.
